Question 1

What is SpotOne and how does the live pay-to-rank leaderboard work?

Accepted Answer

SpotOne is a transparent, real-time attention marketplace and product leaderboard. Projects and startups can list for free or place a bid to outrank competitors. The project with the highest bid claims the coveted #1 Spot at the top of the leaderboard with maximum visibility.

Question 2

How is SpotOne different from outbid.lol?

Accepted Answer

SpotOne provides an uncrowded, accessible alternative to outbid.lol. As older leaderboards become oversaturated and prohibitively expensive, SpotOne offers fresh opportunities for creators, indie hackers, and founders to secure the #01 rank at an accessible entry point while gaining genuine visibility and traffic.

Question 3

Can I list my project on SpotOne for free?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can list your project or startup on SpotOne for $0. Free listings are positioned on the board and can be upgraded at any time by placing a bid to climb the rankings.

Question 4

How is my position on the leaderboard calculated?

Accepted Answer

Ranking is completely transparent: Rank is determined purely by the total bid amount. There are no opaque algorithms, sponsored boosts, or hidden metrics. The highest bidder holds Rank #1.

Question 5

What happens if someone outbids my project?

Accepted Answer

If another project places a higher bid, they claim the higher position, and your project moves down accordingly. You can top up your bid at any time to reclaim the #1 spot.

Question 6

Does listing on SpotOne help with SEO and backlinks?

Accepted Answer

Yes, every listed project receives a dedicated profile and direct link on SpotOne. High-ranking spots also receive prime spotlight and social distribution across our community and Twitter channels.
